Think I found why I failed smog....

I took the car to a shop and they hooked it up to a computer and it threw an injector code. Turns out one of my fuel injectors is leaking gas all the time. I also found that my air filter was dirty. Could these two things cause my HC numbers to be at 350 when the limit is 157?

Yes a leaky injector and dirty air filter will effect your emission numbers.

I know they affect it, I was just courious (sp?) if just those two things would cause it to be so high. BTW the plugs and wires are brand new if anybody asks.

Did you pull the plugs to make sure they were not fouled out?

Yes, i did just 2 days ago (Day before the car was tested wtih the computer) and there were somewhat faouled. One was very bad (the one from the same cylender as the injector problem. The others were a little bad because I got a load of bad gas a few weeks back. I replced all with AC Delcos.
