Things I'd like to do while heads are off

I'm going to be taking the whole top of my motor apart after finding coolant in my oil. Since my problem could be caused by either a warped intake manifold, blown head gasket, or warped heads I'm thinking of some things to do depending on what it ends up being ( I won't find out til next week sometime). I'll probably just buy a new intake manifold all ported and ready to accept a 58mm TB for later down the line, and if the heads are good I'll send them out to get ported and polished and I'd like to buy some 1.6 rocker arms to make this headache at least somewhat worth the aggrevation. Now my question is are self aligning 1.6 ratio rockers good enough for now and if so what brand/type does everyone recommend for something that I can just bolt in as a replacement to the stock arms. What else will I need besides new springs and is there anything else I should have the machine shop do while they have my heads in their posession (already going to have them pressure checked for cracks)? Any other ideas or things I might've overlooked are welcome

Any 1.6 rr will be fine, comp cam, crane etc. Springs would be a good idea too. It wouldnt hurt to mill the heads a little while they are off.

What do you mean by mill?? Shave some of the head off to up compression? Also, how much of the head can be assembled while its off if any? I don't have all the necessary tools to do all of the work so I'd like to have the machine shop do whatever they can while they have the heads.

If you want to spend it, get new valve's and have a good 3 angle valve job done at the same time.

I don't want to go too crazy with these heads because at some point I'd like to make this car supercharged and when I do that I'm going to buy brand new heads and a cam then so I want to do just enough to get a descent gain and make having to take the damn heads off somewhat worth my while I was pretty much just thinking along the lines of getting rocker arms I can just bolt on with new springs port and polish the heads and be good to go until I have the time, money, and a beater to drive while I tear down the whole engine and go nuts with everything which probably wont be until a year from now or so. So I wanna know what things to do with the rocker arms that are necessary for them to work correctly. Thanks again

You could have them take off enough to up compression a little or just enough to get the heads straight again. Youll have to figure out a desired cc and what gasket you will be using if you want them to shave to get some extra compression.
