Are these longtubes Okay?

http://www.jegs.com/i/Pace+Setter/766/70-2237/10002/-1

1.)Are these easy to install? Will they be a pain for the oil filter or room wise?

2.) Where can I buy the extension 02's?

3.) I heard I would fail emissions but I heard you can reprogram the PCM though. I live in CT and I think there kinda strict.

They will be hooking up to my Loudmouth, I am guessing the cops won't like it LOL.

I would think you could find them cheaper through one of our site sponsors. I'd also recommend getting coated. I don't know about emissions, as I don't have that issue out here.

I bought my o2 extensions off someone on eBay because it was the cheapest I found. I know a few sponsors sell them I believe Thunder Racing does.

Here's a few threads on mine. I'm installing them this weekend. I have just over $600 in everything, but I opted to buy nice locking header bolts, fel pro gaskets, etc. etc.

Parts List:

Gaskets:

Hope this helps.

I don't care about looks. Car sits in the garage so hopefully they wont rust. What is the HP with a stock 97 LT1 with cold air, tune, longtubes and loudmouth? 20-30 WRHP?

Uncoated headers "rust" because of the extreme heat. The tubing surface gets so hot that the iron in the steel starts to oxidize. The fact that your car "sits in the garage" has nothing to do with whether or not they will rust, unless it means you never start the engine.

The cera-metallic coating keeps the heat in the primaries, increasing scavenging and thereby providing a small HP gain. By keeping the heat in the primaries, you reduce the surface temperature of the tubing, which reduces under hood temperatures, and the chances of burned wires and melted plastic parts. The surface will remain rust free.... although that doesn't appear to be important to you. It will become important when the headers are 5 years old and starting to fall apart.

Using "heat tape" (header wrap) will make them rust faster, since it keeps the exterior surface tube metal temps even higher, and promotes thermal cracking at the welds. Paint will burn off quickly.

You should probably shop around a little more.

You rock!! That is a good deal. It even includes the extensions for the O2 Sensors.

I hope the shipping isn't expensive and slow with that company.

All pacesetters longtubes should include the wiring for extending your sensors but it's kind of a hack job. I went with extensions so that it'd be easy to change them out in the future and I wouldn't have to cut up a new set of o2's and wire up extensions.

And as stated, the coating isn't just for looks.
