Are these good flow numbers?

Lift/Int/Exh
0.100/75/62.5
0.200/141/117.4
0.300/196/155.5
0.400/235.5/188
0.500/268.5/202
0.550/272/202
0.600/273.7/206.2
0.650/273/229 w/tube
0.700/273/235 w/tube

I am currently running the CC306 cam and the last time the car was on a Mustang Dyno it put down 350rwhp and 330rwtq. My best ET is 12.48@111.56 with a 1.795 60' through 3 gears.

I spun a couple rod bearings so I'm getting the engine rebuild and am thinking about a custom cam that will work with these heads, make more power than the CC306 and not smell so rich at idle. The car is at Livernois Motorsports in Detroit right now so there going to do some figuring for a cam, but does anybody have any recommendations?

Looks good, exhaust looks high for an LT1 head compared to what Ive seen. Obviously dont pay much attention to the 650-700 lift numbers since your cam obviously isnt that big

.500-.600 numbers look on par for a ported LT1 head, but the low lift numbers leave something to be desired. What kind of tune did you have when you ran the 12.48@111.56mph?

I had a full dyno tune in the car but it was running lean because I changed out the exhaust and the fuel pump was having a hard time keeping up. It would drop 10psi when I went WOT. I had it dynoed after I ran the 12.48 and it put down 316rwhp on a Mustang dyno, then I had a Racetronix fuel pump installed and tuned and then it put down 350 on the same dyno.

I ran those times on 28" ET Drags shifting at 6800 and was crossing the finish line in 3rd gear.

What should the low lift numbers be? I thought those were pretty good.

Oh, there are 2.02" intake and 1.550" exhaust valves in the heads.

the 500-700 look almost like mine but the low #'s need some work some unshrouding of the valve and some behinde the seat should pick those up

Yeah, up top they look excellent, it appears they are pretty well tapped after your cams max lift. But the low lift numbers are lacking a bit. Are they done by a local machineshop? what was the cost?

Re: Are these good flow numbers?

They are the set of heads that I got from Modern Musclecar 5 years ago but I never got any flow numbers for them when I bought them for $1500. Since I had to have my lower end rebuilt I had the machine shop flow them while they were off. The are going to see if they can touch them up to get better numbers out of them.

Re: Are these good flow numbers?

Were the heads cleaned before flowed? or did they still have soot on everything?
