one of my gaskets is leaking and i need to replace it. where would i get replacement gaskets? are they the same as manifold gaskets?

 

It should be the same gasket. Summit has a lot of them in their magazine to choose from, you could probably find them online. All the ones you can use usually say something to do with LT1 or D shaped ports- it's basically the same as the SBC in that respect except the D shaped ports

 

I just installed Felpro #1406 on my Z last night. Very nice and easy with these gaskets cause they have hooks on the ends of the gasket instead of holes that go around the outer header bolts which allowed me to keep the headers bolted loosly on the ends and slide the gasket in..

 

I don't believe they are the same as the manifold gaskets because the stock manifolds use a different set of bolt holes than typical headers do.

If you have aftermarket headers, you probably should use the Felpro 1406, and if you're still using the stock manifolds, just get stock replacement I guess.

 

I've had good luck with the Mr. gasket # 5965

 

I have used the FEL-1406 for years now and have never had one leak!!

 

I also use the 1406 and they get the job done.
