thermostatic switch for electric water pump???
why isnt this used in conjunction with the electric pumps to cycle the pump on and off on at 160 and off at 140? Seems like it would help lengthen the life of the electric motor??

because if the fluid is not circulating then you cannot get an accurate reading of internal (block) engine temps. The temps at the pump would be SIGNIFICANTLY lower then the fluid next to the combusting cylinder. Plus more then likely it would rise so quick and be turnign on so much that it would in turn be MORE wear on the pump.
