thermostat question

I just got my car and i'm driving it in the winter where it gets cold. It hasn't been heating real fast and never puts out alot of heat to defrost the windows and get me warm. Should i replace the thermostat? If i do that do i have to reprogram the computer for the fan timing or anything else?

Since you just got the car, have the radiator system flushed out..... Contaminates are prob clogging the heater core....

When I first got my car it was hardly blowing any hot air. I flushed the heater core then back-flushed it. When I back-flushed it, all sorts of stuff came out of it. I put the hoses on and got it up to running temperature and it was blowing hot! Try that. It had a 160 thermostat in it at the time too. Good luck
