thermostat

does it take much longer for the 160 to warm up...compared to the stock 180 ? gotta have a good heater you know....
when replacing.....is there a torque ,pattern or anything ?

Yes, it will take longer for you to get heat...especially in cold climates. There are only 2 bolts on the thermostat housing, just torque them down to spec.

Not sure what the real question is, but the engine will take the same amount of time to reach 160° with either thermostat. It's just that the 160° will then open when the 180° would remain closed until the temp got to 180°.

In cold weather, your running temps will be lower, so your heater will not be as hot, either.
