Is there a write up on pulling the 4l60E??
well, i need to pull my tranny to take it in to the shop for a rebuild. anyone have a write up or a tool list of what all i will need? also, any tips will be appreciated. thanks guys

don't remeber seeing one but it's fairly easy.
disc. batt.
remove torque arm
remove d. shaft
remove starter
remove dust sheild on bell housing
unbolt crossmember
a floor jack placed under the pan with a small pc of 2X6 works well to support it.
remove bolts holding tq to flex plate
remove bolts from bell housing (lots of extensions and swivel joint)
with tranny support by jack slide back from dowel pins
lower enough to remove tranny lines and all wiring connectors.
think thats it.

That seems to be pretty correct from what I remember Thomas. I have pulled Hoostie's and my sister's trannies. (my sisters had to be rebuilt just a few months ago, which my dad did himself in the garage) Give me a call if you need some help.
