Thank you...

Just wanted to say thanks to Shoebox, Injuneer, and all the others who provide such great information on this site.
Since I bought my Z28 a little over a year ago, this forum has been the single best source of technical information I have found. (Especially Rob(Shoebox)'s page!)
I have always worked on my own cars, and when I got this LT1 car I was a little overwhelmed.. But I have been able to accomplish many hours of succesful wrenching through the information I have gathered from Rob's site or this one.
I installed a 52mm throttle body today, something I had been nervous to do on my own (due to the electronics and fine tuning that I had little/no experience with); but everything went great! (resetting the IAC is actually what got everything to work properly..haha)

Thanks again, and I am grateful that forums like this exist.

Long live the LT1
-Neil

Re: Thank you...

Agreed - I wonder often what I would do without this site. Obviously, resort to the Chilton or a factory repair manual.... though they offer detailed guidance - they don't offer opinion (what's the best cat-back? headers? ha....). Another thing they can't help you with is if something goes wrong while working on a specific project - where to look for problems - how did other people solve the problem - strategy for removing certain plugs - etc....

Yeah, I think Injuneer and Shoebox are slowly putting Chiltons out of business. There knowledge of these cars is tremendous.

Re: Thank you...

I think most of us here owe a big THANKS to you guys. I have been wrenching on my own cars for 20+ years, but I still learn something new everytime I read this forum. Thanks again

Re: Thank you...

I can't agree more. So many people have helped me out on here and put up with my complaining. I wouldn't know half the stuff I do now if it wasn't for CZ28 and shoebox's site I would send him a christmas present if I knew is address. I still have lots to learn though, and know I will learn it on this site.

Re: Thank you...

Fred and Rob are both living breathing factory and aftermarket service manuals. I have gained so much knowledge from both of them. With out them i would have been lost when i bought my 94. If im ever near a town where they live the beer is on me.

Without Fred's writeup on the scanmaster and Shoebox's cam swap guide, I don't know what I would have done. I'm still learning something new every day from these guys and the plenty others out there like Bret Bauer. Thanks for taking time out of your day to help out.
