Re: Test Post
I've actually been having trouble on the forum lately, all the pages take awhile to load now for me and I'm unsure why. The sections with the ads on the side and top have the loading symbol ( rotating circle ) and nothing loads. It slows down my computer until the ads eventually pop up or an error page occurs. So maybe others are having trouble with related issues.

Re: Test Post
I don't know how many people are aware that the ownership of the site changed hands about a month ago, and it was moved to a new server.
https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=837323
Since the move, there has been a lot of discussion among the moderators regarding slow reponse, freezes, etc. I'm hoping that these problem are not discouraging people from posting here. I know for me it is very frustrating to post. Several of the moderator features like "move thread" are almost impossible to use (which will probably make some people happy
).
If you are having problems with the site, PLEASE post on the "Site Help and Suggestions" forum. There is already a fairly long thread there that was started on the "F-Body Lounge" and moved to the Site Help forum.
The more we make the new owners aware of the problems, the more likely we will get them solved.

Re: Test Post - Site Problems?
Lots of I-Frames loading seperatly, externally loaded ads, and most importantly, the database and file system is on a slower server now. And I dare to say that IB has some of their other forums running on the same server...
If you put this site, along with ls1tech, thirdgen.org, and other sites on the same box... there is going to be a big hit in performance... I know the guys had this site on a nice box or rack before...
And alas, by doing a nslookup on the 3 examples above, along with rDNS, seems likely that this is the case..
These people's priority is to make money from ads.. performance is not the top of the list.. matter of fact, to maximize revenue, unfortunatly it is bad practice to squeeze as much as you can out of every server you have.
