Temp Sensor question

Is the temp sensor that is located on the left head the same as the one located in the water pump? same p/n? on a 95 Z28. According to Shoebox's diagram one is PCM and the other is gauge. Thanks

Re: Temp Sensor question

Different sensors, different part numbers. They are not interchangable.

Re: Temp Sensor question

1 is for the gauge and the other is what the pcm uses to get a temp reading. I dont know why there are 2 kinda stupid.

Re: Temp Sensor question

Is the sensor in the head a dealer part only?

Re: Temp Sensor question

I just bought one as well .... $18 from Advance Auto
The one in the waterpump (for the PCM) was only $11.
