Temp Sensor not working, any ideas ?

whats up everyone, i've had this problem since i bought the car, i thought it was the actual gauge that was broke but im sure its not, i bought an aftermarket temp gauge and tapped into the sensor off of the heads , no luck........ the stock gauge moved up but didnt read correctly, i changed the coolant temp sensor and was wondering what else needed to be changed to get the stock gauge working again, Thanks in advance!

Any auto supply will have a sensor or the dealer.
