temp sending unit

Recently I noticed that my car's temp guage has been consistently lower than it has been in the past. The fans still kick on, but not in the temp range they did before.

I'm assuming this is the sending unit, located under the driverside manifold. Is there something else I may be missing?

If you have a multimeter, Shoebox has a table of values that the sensor should fall in on his site. That would be a good way of knowing if the sensor is within spec.
