temp guage doesn't work after header install?

worked fine after header install for about a day or too
then tonight it just stopped working
needle is all the way pass the 180 mark
any ideas?
could headers melt the wire?
i read that guage wire is located near driver side header
thanks

Could have broken it, I know I did when I installed my headers. The part isnt expensive and comes with sealant already on the threads. Its on the drivers side sticking out the side of the block.

yes it is the sensor that screws into the driver's side head between the #2 and #4 cylinders. you have either broke that sensor during the header install (common occurence, it happened to me too) or the wire got burnt in two. should be an easy fix. just zip tie everything out of the way.
hope this helps.
