flame exhaust WITH cats.....

I am buying a flame kit for my car from someone for $70. It's this one here.

www.gotflames.net

However, I can't have cats to use it, and i already have an expensive dualcat random tech ypipe, and i'm not gutting them.

I'm thinking i can buy an extra fuel solenoid and T that off the shraeder valve where i have the fuel line tapped for the nitrous system. And then, running a fuel line under the car from there and tapping a hole after the muffler in the tailpipes, and putting a NOS or NX fogger in there to fog fuel in the tailpipes BEHIND the cats and muffler. Then i'll have the spark plugs in the pipe exits to ignite the flames. I think this would be a good setup because i can control the amount of fuel going to the tailpipes with the jets in the fogger, AND i could get UNGODLY flames this way. However, I'm just afraid of blowing up, lol.

Has anyone tried this or does this seem like a good idea, or can anyone enlighten me on some issues b4 i go ahead and try it.

Thanks for any insight.

i just had another idea, but I'm not sure about how much fuel the cats can cut down on. Will I get enough fuel passed the cats if I set up the nitrous system to fog in an extra 150hp worth of fuel into the intake AND keep the nitrous solenoid closed, this will mean boggin the engine down with 500hp worth of fuel however I'll only be using 300+ worth of it. Any inputs??? I think i'll try this method FIRST, then the fogger in the tailpipe SECOND. And, is there any risk of damage to the cats running this INSANELY rich?? I know I'll foul plugs if i do it too much, but plugs are cheap, cats are not. And then I have to worry about the 02 sensors, will they get screwed up with all that fuel(i'm not worried about the A/F ratio, i'm worried about permanent damge to the o2's) So this leads me back to my orignal idea, hmm........ Thanks again

Just remember there is a reason all those old cars that use afterburners have extra long tailpipes.
you will fry the paint if they are not extended enough.
I shoot flames without all the extra jazz, short straight pipes and you will do the flame show on deceleration.

Id worry about fuel pooling in the muffler, then BOOM!

I adjusted the carb on my friend 460cid hunting truck to rich and the timing was of and all that jazz. Anyway it backfired and it lit the gas in the muffler and it exploded. If you ever get to hear a muffler explode it aint quiet.

yeah, the paint thing was just my next hurdle. I have stock rectangle outlets recesed, so it's prob not a good idea.

So, either I'm thinking flaming cutout or just use this on my big block cuda with no cats when i get that working. If not, i'll give it to my mustang buddy with a 5.0 with no cats.

Thanks for the replies.

didn't they also have color coordinated flaming exhaust in the opening scene when everyone hit the super-ultra-time-warp-hyper-drive-ludicrous-speed-my-car-belongs-on-star-trek-NOS?

Ok, i'm embarrassed now that i admitted i saw that sad excuse for a car movie.
