temp gauge sensor doesnt fit

temp gauge sensor doesnt fit

I have a set of trickflow heads .i was goin to put the sensor in but it is to small for the hole.is thier like an adaptor i need?

You should easily be able to find an adapter fitting.

Yea just go to your local hardware store to find the adapter. I have the same heads and thats what i had to do.

size you probably need is 3/8" NPT female to 1/2" NPT male, but, since I don't have your sender here, I'm not sure

Measure the threads. Get the correct adapter bushing. I wouldn't be surprised if AutoMeter had them in the catalog.

we are both trying but they are not NPT threads i believe they are machine thread. sucks

I just used what the other guy used. Basic pipe fitting with 3/8 female to 1/2 male. About 50 cents at any hardware store.

As much money as they charge for the heads, you think they'd tap the right size hole!

While you are there youu need to get plugs for the water jackets in the front of the heads, these don't come with them either. I could not get mine out of my stock heads. The directions tell you that you need to buy an adapter.

Also, You can not use the stock intake bolts on the outer corners of the intake. The holes are not tapped deep enough, you'll strip them out............. Ask me how I know!!

what do you use for bolts then?

You can still use them, but if the bolt holes are too shallow you just shim the bolts. that's uber gay if that's the case.
