Tell me what to buy and where to buy it
97 SS M6
1) 383 Rotating assembly good for ~800fwhp on Nitrous
2) Injectors good enough for ~440rwhp N/A (nitrous system will be direct port and I'm not buying it now)
3) Fuel pump needed for N/A or can I buy it later when I get the nitrous?
I'm gonna have AI redo my heads, and grind a custom cam to replace my CC306. I suppose since it'll be going up to 7k I'll need 4 bolt mains.
My clutch is stock. I understand I can get an LT4 pressure plate relatively cheap from GM parts, and buy a good clutch disc for a reasonable price. Which clutch disk?
Here's what I've already got: Hooker longtubes, Mufflex 4", SFCs, Ed Wright PCM, EWP, blah blah.. I can't remember everything.
Basically stage 1 is to get the new engine built and installed with the new heads/cam, along with a new clutch and tuning. I won't launch it at all with this setup, probably won't even take it to the track. Still have the stock rearend with 3.42s.
Stage 2 will come much later but will involve adding a direct port system with a bigger fuel pump, 9'' rearend, possibly more suspension stuff. Tell me where's the best places to buy these items at a reasonable price, and high quality. Also if there's anything else you can think of I need, tell me. I've been out of it for a few years and I've forgotten a lot.

if you have stock LT1 casting heads, you might be better off (money wise) just doing a 355/357, you wont ever see the full potential of the 383 with LT1 castings, to justify the money into it
few of the vendors can set you up with a rotating assembly tho
www.combinationmotorsports.com
www.thunderracing.com
or try Bret Bauer... Bret@bauer-racing.com
you might be better off looking into 'local' shops for the bottom end stuff. it would work out better that way if you had any problems with anything. customer service could only be a short drive away
injectors, try the 5.0 fuel section of www.gefracing.com for some SVO's 30's 36's bigger etc etc
www.racetronix.com makes some very nice fuel pump setups for our cars too

You're on the borderline of feasibility.... 500fwHP NA, plus a 300-shot of juice (+60% of NA HP)is very hard on a motor. I know - I built one from scratch. Once you go over adding 50% of the NA power with nitrous, you have a combustion chamber mixture that is oxygen rich and hard to control.
Go to my "Mod's List" and see one version of accomplishing exactly what you are planning. Whether you can get a setup like this "off the shelf" is questionable.
You aren't going to have a chance in he!! of holding 800HP with "an LT4 pressure plate relatively cheap from GM parts, and buy a good clutch disc for a reasonable price. Which clutch disk?" You aren't going to get away with anything less than a McLeod Street Twin.
