I'm putting this together tomorrow and need to know if I can/should use teflon tape on the fittings?

Re: Teflon tape on fuel fittings?

Everything I've read indicates that the Teflon tape shouldn't be used. Searching the Permatex website doesn't turn up any recommendations to use the stuff on fuel lines.

I have read that you can use the liquid version on the connections...

Do you even need sealer on those threads?

Agreed, you can use the liquid version on the connections, but only on those connections that are considered as "pipe", do not use on connection with an o-ring, a flare fitting (brake lines) or a JIC 37 deg or SAE 45 deg type connection, they are designed to seal with a metal-to-metal contact.

Also when using any type of sealant, a little goes a long way.

So the feed would be on the rear of the drivers side fuel rail, but what about the return, from the fuel pressure regulator?
