TB useful with a CC503

I still have the stock TB on. Will it give me a benefit? Or am I buying a 200-300 dollar part of 3hp?

thanks

A little more info would be helpful. For instance do you have P/P heads? What CI? etc. What are your goals/purpose for the car? I would go ahead and get a 52mm-58mm TB. Again this is pending CI, supporting mods, etc.

I would get a Arizona speed and marine 54mm tb. I think a 58 would be a little bit much. Maybe just go with a 52 if you cant find the AS&M 54.
I think theres more like 8-10hp in your motor with one.

The stock tb supports upt to 450 hp, you are far from that! You can get some throttle response with a larger tb but it will not give you anything more at the back wheels. You would do wisely to place that money somehwere else.

I know you can have your tb bored out. I have one that MTI did a long time ago. I have a used one if your interested(not just trying to sell you mine) but you could pick one up for 25-50 dollars. And send it out to someone to bore.
I paid $100 for mine like 5 yrs ago. If you could get a 52mm tb for $135,$150(used one being bored) it will be a worth while mod as far as cost effective.
