TB bypass, help

How do you get the clamp on the steam pipe turned upright.
Now, it is turned down and I broke one tab off, trying to twist
the clamp upright.
Anybody have any hints and how do I squeeze the clamp with one tab broke?
This really isn't worth a couple hp!! But, I started it and I want to finish it.

I have the same problem and ended up just cutting the hose.

I got angry after about 5 minutes of trying to get it off. Then I broke out the dremel and cut the clamp. If you do this be careful not to cut into the steam pipe.

easiest way I found to do it was to pull the throttle body

ya know..just cut off all the debris of rubber hose off the tube. Run that hose from the radiator straight to the tube and clamp it.
When you first take off the clamps to bypass it, its a biznatch. At first, you think you wanna do everything neat and do it carefully since its so close to the TB electrical. I know...I had a heck of a time trying to cut them off. I used a steak knife to cut the crap off the tube..just becareful cuz you dont have much room to mess with. Also sucks is that you have to darn near climb on your engine to do it. LOL Is the back of your legs hurting yet..ha ha I hate that with these engines. You have to hover over the nose peice.

I had the same problem, what i did was got a pair of needle nose pliers and worked that bitch until the clip fell apart, then put the pliers on the tube and pulled

just kill the clip by pulling it apart by any means neccesary, it isnt necessary to cut the hose though

yea just remove the TB itself for easier access then snip the hose....those damn clamps are a pain in the **** but I got them moved with a pair of pliers...just make sue when you're moving the clamps back towards the end of the hose after you've done the by-pass that you don't rape your hoses....
