TB Air Foil

Anyone know where I can get an airfoil for cheap? There's no way I'm dishing out 50$+ for a little piece of moulding. Someone has to sell these for reasonable prices.
Ebay isn't showing any for sale either

Dont waste your money. If you ever upgrade your throttle body, most aftermarket ones have an air foil basically molded into the body.

Re: TB Air Foil

Every now and then on the classifieds you can find one used for like 20 bucks. Theres a guy on ebay that lists like 5 a day and they end around 20-25 as well.

Re: TB Air Foil

If you are not planning on getting an aftermarket TB anytime soon, it's a great investment
They're easy to resell for $20-25.

Ebay and classifieds sections are you friends.

52mm (stock bores) and 58mm (ported manifold) TBs are available new and used a reasonable prices.
The agument of weither or not larger TBs do anything for a stock or mildly modded engine is about 15 pages long.
I'm not going there today

Yea ... But do it right and do it once. You can buy it now. Then have to sell it when you get a new TB in the future.

Take the money, by some copper tubing (3/8" I think ? Dont quote me on that. ) and two quality hose clamps. By pass your throttle body coolant line. You will see better gains for much less $$$.

Re: TB Air Foil

!TB was done a long time ago. Airfoil is really the last of the cheap bolt ons for me. All I have left are gears... I don't think a new TB is neccessary given that I won't be doing heads or cam any time in the next 4 yrs

Now, if someone could show me worthwhile gains from an aftermarket TB on a bolton car I might change my thinking

Exactly right! Unless you're making 450+ hp with 42 lb injectors then the very biggest waste of money you can spend is for another TB. I've been looking for some validation to buy a bigger or better TB for a bolt-on and like you, I haven't seen it.

I know you're in Canada so suggesting the $30 SLP from Summit Racing probably isn't a consideration but that's what I have. As said above, they're on ebay for $20 - $25 often but after shipping I don't think you'll do that much better than buying one locally or through Summit Racing.
