Taking the termanals off

Long story short.....

The negetive battery termanls melted it self to the battery. Took the termanal off the battery and it ned to be replaced. So how do you take the termanal off without replacing the whole cable?.

The molded terminal end on the battery cable? You will just have to get it off the best you can and hope you have enough slack to put a replacement terminal on the end of the cable.

I think 15-20$ for a new cable & terminal would be better than trying to replace the one on a cable that could be compromised anyway. How did it melt the terminal?
