Tail lights took a dump??? WTF??? Help!!
I bought my 94 T/A about 2 1/2 years ago and have had tail light issues since week one. For some reason the driver side tail light brake bulbs only stay on when I have the running lights on. When I step on the brake, the lights on the driver side turn off instead of getting brighter. I pulled the lights off, replaced all of the bulbs, bent the two prongs inside the pig tail to assure a nice tight connection and got the same problem. The bulb will light up properly when I wiggle the bulb while the brake is applied, but if I don't touch it, it don't light up. I contacted T/A Creations to find out if they had any single pigtails for sale. He told me I would be wasting my time taking one pigtail from a junker because this is a common problem for the F-Body's and should've been a factory recall. I contacted the dealer and they only sell the entire tail light harness. I'm not tryin to pay for a hole harness if I just need to change one or two pigtails. Anyone got any idea's about what I should do. I'm sick of Johnny Law pulling me over for the same BS. WTF
dude i have the exact same problem. i just dont turn left anymore, and make sure i use my e brakes and geardown when im in front of cops
so they do sell a tail light harness? did they say how much? i may just swap out the entire harness, unless its far cheaper and easier to spice in new connectors.

I work at a body shop and we just swaped them out of a totaled V6 bird. but I would think someone parting out a car would sell it cheap. you can fix them but it's kind of a pain to do the grounds go bad in the sockets. you have to make new grounds for the whole harness just not worth it imo.
