t56 to 700r4 swap

I am thinking about doing a swap from a t56 to a 700r4 on my 97 TA. I would like some advice on what is needed and what is involved in doing this. I also would like some opinions on a 700r4 or a turbo 350. Any information would be appreciated.

If you are going to do this swap, what are you going to do with the T56??? I would buy this from you, heck I have a 4l60 that i would just trade you if you wantted. I'll even rebuilt it for you. Its out of a 95 z28.

700R4=GARBAGE

Just ask us guys who were stuck with them in the 88-95 trucks. They will never hold up to the torque of an LT1 unless its a strong aftermarket build. Go with the 4L60E if anything automatic. Turbo 350 is a good strong tranny, but you wont have an overdrive.

I got a Built 700R4 Built with Hughes Super Pro Kit (kolene steels, brand new clutches and such..), non electronic with a Yank 2800 Stall, if you like to trade everything that is involved with a swap. Non Electronic 700R4 is much easier to install since it is non computer controlled.......

I was interested in the same swap,700r4, or turbo 350,built as far as i could take it, but i was advised agaisnt it because you need to swap drive shafts, cross member and computer harness. So i was told.I might take some heat for getting rid of the t56 too.
