Many guys on this board have the 6-Speed. What fluid are you using? I've used the Lucas Oil with great success, but when the anti-foaming agent in the A/T fluid goes, then there is trouble and the Lucas Oil does a great job of sticking to the parts but the foam is circulated too!

 

I have heard some people talk about GM syncromesh. I'm not sure what it is, but I was under the impression it was for the T-56

 

I have my car on an extensive Winter rebuild, and pretty much starting over. I'm planning on using nothing but Royal Purple everything.
I've heard their Synchromesh for the T56 is pretty good. I haven't tried yet, so just take it for what is worth.

Isn't the syncromesh a component of the manual transmission? It's not to be confused with synthetic.

So, that is one score for GM and one score for Royal Purple

 

I went from Mobil to honda ATF and noticed a huge difference.

 

voted on this wrong - thinking it was what you had stated in the last poll (which was what fluid you use)...

I currently use Mobil 1 and hate it. Shifts like crap. I will be switching to Honda ATF.
