The 4th gen t-tops are designed different than the prev gens with the channels on the car for the water, so IF there is a leak, it should be at the window at either front or back of top. A hardtop can also leak at the window as well. As far as time to remove/replace the tops, 10 sec is about right.
Good job on the t-tops! Mine are always off unless raining or below about 55 degrees. Winter sucks!

After seeing the pics I really want T-Tops now. Do you guys think a body shop would do it for me? I would like to do it myself but I don't want to **** anything up. I wonder what a body shop would charge if I supplied them with the guide and parts.

Kickass man..nice job! I LOVE my ttops..even though they leak..thats what towels are for. I wouldnt trade them for anything in the world. Even if its raining and you have them on, I still keep the shades off so I can take a peak at the sky to see whats going on.

And it takes like 10 seconds to take them off/put them back on...I jsut leave them off when I go into stores, no biggie!

You'll love he hell outa them!

Its not that hard. Just take your time.

Here's my write-up on it.

I also tried a few body shops before doing it myself, but most said no. The only one who did give me an estimate told me $1100 plus parts!!!!! Crazy. Most shops will refuse because they have to cut into the frame rails. A custom shop should do it though.

Nice job on the conversion. I agree with the guys and the few seconds it takes to pull the tops. I wouldn't even consider buying a Z without the t-tops or leather. I had an 89 IROC and it leaked like crazy, and my 95 is completely dry. No drips or drops while parked or driving in the rain. Whats sweeter than having the sun pour in on a gordeous day and a cuttie in the passenger seat? Anyways, thats my $0.02. I just wanted to congradulate the guy for having the guts to undertake the project and being successful.
