Well, you can't blame the car because it's owned by a redneck or retard. Simple rubber will fix the problem.

These are the same people that duct tape their fenders on, and tie bailing wire to their throttle linkage.

The way the t-tops are made for 4th gens is very different, and they DO NOT LEAK. I installed mine with a freaking dremel and a swazall and have diven for two months in the rain and snow without a driip!

I've also done the conversion, and I'm almost ready to do it again. It relly is easy, a little time consuming getting them to fit just right, but well worth it! They can be a pain, but when they are off and your out cruising, its all worth it!

When I did mine I took just a little too much material off, made for extra work. Its definetly nice having printouts like you had. Makes it sooooo much easier!

Can you put the link on this thread? I'd really like to have them for a reference. You did miss a few steps on yours

My t-tops don't leak at all in the rain. They leak a little at the car wash if you spray directly on the seals, but so do the factory t-top cars. I take mine off every opportunity I get. Even when itis cold out, I take them off and put on the heater. I guess if you do them yourself you enjoy taking them off more. Ican't wait til summer, They'll be off all the time!

if your 4th gen t-tops leak you need to re-align your window... no more leaks

only thing i don't like is when you open the door the water flowing through the channels flows directly onto your leg

otherwise, my old hardtop v6 friggin leaked more than my t-top z28 does, and its got the original rubber from 1995

My t-tops aren't bad enough to leak in the rain but a good powerwash and they do. I just feel they are more hassle than they are worth.

t-tops arent much w/ leaks compared to verts. i need to get mine fixed, i brought it to an uphoulstry shop and they put my tweeter wire in the gasket so i had to pull it all off and put the wire elsewheres because it still leaked. then one time on a 1.5 hour highway drive, my gaskets were flapping in the wind... last time i went to the car wash i didnt spray even close to that gasket but when i got inside my leather was wet and steering wheel, cluster, everything, and when it rains the passenger side carpet ends up soaked and it stinks after a while. really fun... oh well i still like havin a convertible better because 100% of the time if the weather is good the top is down.

Man, I really want t-tops... and someday I'll do it. The "no going back" intimidates me just a tad bit.

Good job!

Thats it i am making up a lie about having a Z. My mods are all a lie too. I have a Z, but i am smart enough to realize, and admit there flaws. Rather than be star struck by 2 removable pieces of roof made from glass.

You probably should have installed your SFC before you cut the roof.

I did an don't notice any structual difference with regard to actual feel during driving.

As mentioned, if your T-Tops leak you either need to adjust the locking brackets or the window (or replace the rubber). They won't leak then.
