I have a 95Z that I have put a 96 computer in. I would like to be able to pull codes (OBDII) from the ALDL but there needs to be another wire run from the ECU to the connector under the dash. Does anyone know how this wire is labeled? Where can I get a factory assembly manual that would show this?

I got my GM manual from www.helminc.com. I can't help you on the other thing, I have OBD1.

 

I don't think you need any additional wires to pull codes (have you tried it?), but if you do, there is only one wire that is added with OBD-II. A purple wire from pin 2 of the DLC goes to C4 (blue)-pin 7 of the pcm.

 

I have tried pulling codes with OBDII tool & it would not communicate. I will try the wires you suggest & see if that works. Thanks for the help.
