switched to 0w30 castrol

so i got some of that 0w30 synthetic castrol and a k&n oil filter, figured id give it a shot after reading that long thread on it. other than the increased protection im assuming im getting now it also had a nice side effect, seems i get an average of 1 - 2 psi more oil pressure while driving around and now my oil starvation problem is non existant anymore. used to go down to ~40psi at wot, usually around 3500 rpms, now its 60+ all the time at wot im happy.

Re: switched to 0w30 castrol

I have been reading the oil threads lately and have been wondering if I need to change. I have been running M1 5W-30. Would it be better to change to the Castrol Syntec 0W-30, and would I be able to run this oil in the winter?

mobil 1 5w30 is way too thin for an lt1 from everything ive ever read, im sure patman will agree. Its a great winter oil and its what patman used during the winter in canada from what I remember reading, probably a fine summer oil as well. Ive heard M1 0w40 is recomended as a similarly good oil to experiment with.

Can someone post the barcode number from the back of the bottle of the German Castrol 0w-30?

Thanks,
Chris

Thanks

EDIT: The guy at autozone said he needed the two little numbers on there also, there should be one preceeding those numbers, and one following them.
