Question Swapping from 987's to 918's worth the $$?

Hey guy's just like it say's I put in the 847 last spring and love it but I am wondering if I am leaving a little on the table with the 987's?? Would the swap be worth it? Also would I benefit from a AFR hydra rev kit? Thsi is all on a stock bottom end, stock heads car. Best et 7.89@89 in the 1/8.

The beehives would be a much better investment than the Hydra-Rev kit.

It would be cheaper to go with a hydra-rev and it will do the same as switching to the 918 springs if not an even better job. However I dont think you actually need the 918s for that cam since the ramp rates are fairly mild compared to some of the XEs. Guys used to say the 987s worked fine with the XE cams but now its the 918 springs... these things always change.

I'd think you would want to go with 918's. If you are running 1.6 rockers you are pushing those springs to the limit on lift.

Unfortuneately the Hydra-Rev is not going to do a better job.

So will I gain any power from doing this swap? I have read more on the rev kit and don't think I need it, I'm still on a stock bottom end and PCM.

Thanks for the input Guys

26918 with Morel lifters (without hydra rev kit) is the BEST choice.
