Swapping '93 computer to '94-'95?

Alright I have a 1993 LT1 and now that I'm to the point of getting a tune for my heads/cam/intake setup I'm getting really sick of the chip burning speed density bs setup. I'm looking to swap it to the 94-95 computer and I'm wondering what this will all require? Basically what do I need to make this happen? Thanks!

Since the 93 is speed density and batch fired. Your better off getting a newer engine with the PCM that goes along with it.

You would have too much wiring to do to make the 93 work with a new PCM.

Getting a 94-95 PCM and complete wiring harness, plus an MAF sensor will make it a lot easier. That takes care of speed density and batch fire. You will have to address the interface differences with the body connectors (see Shoebox's connector pinout charts) and the interface with the tach and possibly the speed, which are different. You will also not be able to hook on the 94-95 skip-shift to your T56.... big whoop!

Ok that's what I was planning. Get the newer pcm, a maf sensor, and the wiring harness. I was just wondering if that's all I need?

Check the tach. The 93 feeds the tach off the coil, though a "filter". 94 and up feeds the tach off the PCM. Find out if your 93 tach will work with a 94/95 PCM. Also chech the speedo. There is something different about the wiring. I think the 93 may feed the speedo and the ECM in parallel from the VSS. 94 and up feeds the VSS signal to the PCM, and the PCM feeds the speedo - not sure on that though. If the tach is not compatible, the cluster would need to be changed.
