I would ask this question in the Autocross/Road Racing forum, you'll get a much more complete answer there.

What are your goals for your car?

If you are wanting to hook up, tires are the most important piece of the puzzle.

As far as suspension goes, the first things most people do are add subframe connectors, lower control arms, and lca relocation brackets.

The subframe connectors will stiffen the car up tremendously, especially if your car has t-tops. The lower control arms will help plant the rear tires to the ground. The relocation brackets for the lca's will help reset the angle of the control arm if your car is lowered, but they will also help a non-lowered car out as well.

Aftermarket tourqe arms are adjustable so you can adjust your pinion angle to help the car hook better. They are also stronger then stock ones that are just a stamped piece of metal.

QA1's are a brand of adjustable shocks. You can adjust them from everything from drag racing, street driving, or road racing.

BMR and Spohn are some of the more popular brands of suspension products. Good places to look are www.ls1speed.com or www.thunderracing.com .

I just kinda went over everything real fast, do a search on here to learn more.

The torque arm is one of the last suspension pieces you should replace. Guys have gone pretty fast with stock torque arms.
