sheesh. just put you the biggest damn swaybars you can find on it with poly bushings everywhere, put about 50psi in the tires and poof - instant drift (aka "poor traction" to domestic musclecar owners)

rx7s and supras are rwd and they drift , it would be the same in a camaro.. easyer with a stick , rev it up just before the turn and drop the clutch to get the tires spining and slide it through the turn..i dont see why it would be easyer in thoughs cars

its not that easy, you cant just drift any car. The car must be properly balanced and tuned for handling/drifting in its suspension and chasis. Our weight factor is the biggest issue. Its very very!! hard for and unbalanced heavy car to drift.

"Drifting", at least in the Ricer sense, is what we call "doing donuts" hehe.... Even in its true sense, "drifting" is the slowest way to get around a turn, and in real racing it's the fastest way to completely waste a set of tires, spend too much time in the pits changing them, and lose a race.

Leave it to a ricer to think that his/her car is "properly tuned" because it can easily "drift"...

And "drifting" CONTESTS? What an extreme show of gayness.... You've been watching too much SuperRetardTV on TNN.

Funny you acuse me of being a "ricer" when in fact im anything but, and no my friend drifting is not the "slowest" method of getting around a corner. Research it up before you run your mouth. Anyways thats besides the point - its just fun, im wasnt planning on running at the daytona 500. Please dont bother posting your meaningless opinions in other peoples posts in attempts to spark some kind of an argument. If you dont agree then just move on. Also, dont bother replying this post , just leave this topic to those who are interested in drifting.

being able to "drift" is FAR from a good handling car. Drifting is about the slowest way around a race track.

anytime any of the local rice boys talk **** about" handling" i tell them to bring it to an AutoX.. I have yet to be beat by any of them

Ok people were gettin of topic here. I think you rice haters are getting the wrong impression of a true drift. Anyways like i said, im not rice fan (AND DRIFTING ISNT JUST LIMITED TO RICE) and i know propper drifting is affective but thats not my point, ITS JUST FUN GUYS, chill a lil ! Just wondering if anyone has a driftable FBODY and how they did it.

Someone already told you how to do it. You make the suspension ridiculously stiff and air up the tires so you have virtually no traction, and tada.. drift. Get a big sway bar for the rear, stiff lowering springs, stiff shocks, etc.
