Summit OffRoad y-pipe for dual cat cars. Opinions?

http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...DCOA&x=18&y=13

Anyone have any experiance with this. I have SLP shorties, will this bolt to the stock type flanges? What does aluminized mean? Will i be able to have a couple cats welded into it?

Any fitment issues?

Do you know if there is a special way that you have to weld alumized pipe? I may weld a couple high flow cats in for emissions along with O2 bungs.

its a great y pipe! I have it and I love it. Yeah you could probably weld in some cats but the cool part is it already has 02 sensor bungs so you can put some 02s in there if ya want but you have to extend the wires. If I was you though id only put 1 cat in there.

I can tell someone else just go the Summit catalog. I was looking at this the other night, and am thinking about getting it since we don't have emissions here. I know it bolts up to the stock manifolds, but does it fit the same as the stock y-pipe for connecting to the cat-back, in other words can I change it out in my garage on jack stands in half an hour or does it require some welding. Also, someone said it had O2 bungs, why? It's an offroad pipe. Do they include caps for the O2 bungs or will I need to get some? Finally, any thoughts on just gains from this? Maybe 10HP due to eliminating the cats? Cableguy, how's the sound on it? I know you say it's loud, but how loud? Is it obnoxious, or nice sounding?

I was also wondering what the point of the o2 bungs are if there are no cats.

I need to find out a way to make o2 sims so i dont need to buy them for $89. Any one know how to do it? Im sure it can be done just like the Cags eliminator with a cheap peart from radio shack.

I think the point of the o2 things are so if you dont wanna run 02 sims you can just extend ur 02 wires a little bit and use the 02 sensors that were on your old y pipe. I have 02 sims and the light still comes on..I heard your better off gettign a custom tune to elimate the rear 02s and youll gain more performance that way anyway. Anyway back to the question about bolting up to the catback. Mine bolted right up but I still welded everything. I did mine in the garage but had it welded afterwards. Also it does come with caps if you dont use the 02 bungs.
