I have the Sweet Thunders on the LT1 in my El Camino. I dont' think it's too loud. I don't even have an interior in my Elky right now. I have been told by a neighbor (car guy) that he thought my Elky is louder then my LS1 with the GMMG but not that much louder. The difference could be that I have Cats though.

My dual setup is: Hooker Long Tubes > Cutouts/Reducers to 2.5" > Cats > X-pipe > 24" Sweet thunders > over the axel and out the back.

Now when I open the cutouts.......

well you cant really compare the two because the gmmg is a ypipe setup with smaller piping, and mine is an xpipe setup with large piping..........that makes a huge difference in the sound.......the gmmg mufflers themselves are nothing special

im about to revamp my system for a third time (adding piping to exit the rear) and im STILL at half of what the gmmg cost

hey got_hp?

hey got_hp?, how much louder is your setup than say a loudmouth setup. im buying the Hooker LT's with a hooker y pipe and just throwing a muffler on there, but im stuck on which muffler to buy because i dont want it to be a whole lot louder than my loudmouth is now. im looking at the summit chambered, spin tech, and mufflex mufflers. any input is appreciated and thanks in advance.

i dunno, i havent heard a LM setup with longtubes to compare it.

plus right now, mine is dumping at the axle, which makes it seem a lot louder inside........when i have it exit the rear, it should seem quieter to me i think
