Suggestions: starting engine which has sat

I got an Lt4 engine about 5 years ago. It looks in excellent shape. Oil was clean, exhaust ports were clean, rotated well. No oil anywhere on the outside of the engine. About every year except the last 2 years, I was putting a little bit of oil in the cylinders and rotating the engine by hand. The engine has been in my 69 camaro for mocking up parts. I will have an engine harness in about 3 weeks and have been thinking of trying to start the engine to see how it runs. Prior to starting I was going to change the oil, prime the oil system, rotate it again by hand then fire it up.

Any other suggestions I might want to do before starting? Injector cleaning (was told they will clean with fresh gas)

If it runs well, should I still go through the bottom end. I was planning on changing the cam.

thanks for the input.

No reply's?

Am I better off dis-assembling the engine and going through it instead of trying to start it?

Put in good plugs and fresh gas and fire it up like a new rebuild.
If it runs good and has good oil pressure and no smoke---- Drive it like ya stole it.
