stuttering after lock-up

maybe you guys can help me figure this one out. i was having some issues with my lock-up coming on, because of a program mismatch (had a 95 program running on a 94 tranny)...well, that's taken care of now, and now that the tranny locks, at low speeds (under ~60mph) the car stutters...it kindda tries to jerk forward...it's constant...until i get up in the 70's or 80's...
i should note that it only does this when the tranny LOCKS-UP...not when it's in lower gears...

any thoughts?

3000 stall.

Aftermarket converters sometimes do that.

I have a 3200 stall and its only 3000 miles old. It chatters when it locks up at 70kph and jerks slightly until it gets to 80kph.

how badly it jerks depends on the quality of the converter.
