stumbling when hot at idle, falls on its face?

just like it says above, when its around 160 it will start to idle around 500 or so, and when i hit the gas it kinda stumbles if i hit it moderatly hard then [ics up and pulls like a raped ape. i orignially thought this to be a sensor problem but have since decelared this out becuase i also have a hard start. if i prime the pump or let it sit till it stops priming my car will start fine on the first go around, somtimes. sometimes it will take 15 seconds of cranking i think this to be either a clogged fuel filter as it did this before the isntalls and it started right after i let the tank go pretty much dry twice. or i beleive this to be a failing pump. any suggestions and tips to point me in the direction would help.
