stumble/stall when stopping after rebuild

well i just got my car all buttoned up today and went for a drive and it started acting up. when i come to a stop it starts to stumble really bad and then it stalls. it always starts right up but whenever i come to a stop it stalls again. yesterday was the first day i got it running and just sitting in the garage the ses light came on. i checked the code, it was a code 48 maf sensor code. i wiggled the connector and it seemed to help it. after looking at the connector i found one of the terminals was loose so today i put a new connector on it hoping that would fix it, but it didn't. it doesn't have any codes now but it stumbles and stalls whenever i come to a stop. i have brand new plugs and wires on it. it didnt do this before the rebuild so im hoping it something simple. thanks for any help!!!!

one other thing- when i first start after sitting a while it runs really rough for about 15 sec. it was doing that before the rebuild. i put a walbro fuel pump in a couple years ago and an opti about 4 years ago. im thinking its either a maf or possibly an iac problem.

Did you add an aftermarket cam if so, it could be IAC related.

no i still have the hotcam, which ive had for about 4 years now. i really didnt change anything during this rebuild, just new bearings and rings, bottom end balanced, a little bit of bowl work on the heads, a valve job, and shimmed valve springs.

well i think i fixed it today. i took the throttle body off and cleaned it out. then took the iac out and cleaned the passage out along with the iac pintle. im going to remove the lower plate tomorrow and clean it all out. i went and drove it for 10 min today and it didn't act up once. i am getting the car dyno tuned in a couple months once the weather breaks so i should be good to go by then.
