stumble at cold start up (~1 min.)

For about the last week, when i start my car for the first time of the day it idles high (~1100 rpm) and stumbles. This only lasts about one minute and then it runs normal for the rest of the day. Even if my car sits for 6 hours and i start it, it behaves normally. It only happens after the car has sat overnight. Ideas please.

Weird, same thing happens to me, it'll stumble in first for about 5 minutes on a warm day. Get in the car later that day and fine. Seems to happen after I go to sleep..... I do think I have a slight vacuum leak somewhere I need to pin point.

Mine has the exact same symptom except it does it every time I start it, Hot or Cold. I pull up a code and I get TPS and MAF readings. Dunno if these would cause it but I am going to rplace them and let ya know what I get.

I think I know what my problem is, mine is either a small vacuum leak or its my valves. I hear a little bit of a louder tick on my drivers side valve cover, one or two of my rockers probably came loose.

Listen everyone.. At discount they are like 15 dollars... Why dont you just go by one instead of wasting time waiting for another member to post.. if it doesnt work, it is 2 screws and 2 minutes of work.. Change it in the parking lot and drive around after 2 key cycles and 2 full throttle pushes while the key is in the on position but off. Most likely if you didnt think about this, then you need to replace it anyway.

My TPS sensor is working perfectly, don't like to throw my money away. I verfied it through datamaster, but sure, "if its broke, just throw money at it"

I had similar conditions, except it would barley run, for a few seconds, then to 10 minutes on cold starts. It had to be completly cold though, and kept getting worse and worse till it started running like complete ****. It turned out to be my coolant temp sensor.

Re: stumble at cold start up (~1 min.)

How could a coolant temp sensor cause that?
The one on the side of the head.....or the water pump???

Re: stumble at cold start up (~1 min.)

the sensor on the head goes to the coolant temp gauge by the speedometer, the one on the front of the water pump tells the pcm how hot it is.
