Unhappy Stuck on exhaust manifolds

Hey guys, I'm in a really bad spot here. I blew my head gasket. I have the valve covers, intake manifold, alternator, fuel rails all off. I am giving up at this point pretty much. I can't get exhaust manifolds off. I only have the car up on jacks, and am too cramped to move at all. So, my question is: How much longer do you think it would take for a shop to get my car fixed if I towed it to them. Seeings how they have lifts and better tools, they could get it done a hell of a lot faster than I could. Also, how much do you think it would cost? Thanks a lot guys. Noah

If you can afford to wait, get a lift to the store and get some PB Blaster. Hose the bolts on the exhaust manifold at the head and the y-pipe. Let them sit a few hours, spray them again and wait over night.

Go out there and hit them one last time, wait a little bit and try pulling them.

Dropping the y-pipe first should make it a LOT easier to get the manifolds off.

I soaked my bolts in PB blaster and then went to bed, got up the next day and they all came out like butter.
Spray em down overnight and then see what you can do.

i got lucky and they came out after being soaked in some WD-40 for a few hours since I didn't have anything better. Good luck getting it taken care of.
