Stronger header gaskets?

I have ported heads and jethot headers. I keep blowing out Felpros and Mr Gs/ I tried using vopper coat and RTV, same problem. I tried Percey, but I have to cut so much masterial out so they don't block the ports they leak terrible!

Anyone using any type of solid material gaskets?

If so, can you please post the brand and part numbers.

Thanks,

John

Have you made sure your exhaust flange is flat...not warped?

I use silicon on my gasket and tighten the living crap out of them.

It gets tough to find a good gasket when you start encroaching on the bolts with larger exhaust ports.

I am currently using Mr. Gasket 5903 for my gasket....I will see how it holds up.

Earl's Pressure Masters and frequent checking of the bolts till they no longer tighten up. With the Earl's though very little retightning is needed.
Most gaskets compress and need frequent retorquing for the first couple weeks in order to seal well. Most header gasket leaks are due to gasket compression and not being retightened.
