what is the best stroker kit for a nitrous motor 383, 396, 408 for a 1994 firebird

Just shop around and get some info. Try to get a fully forged rotating assembly if your budget allows. Scat makes very good cranks and rods. JE and SRP are pretty good pistons from what I have read. I am sure some guys with strokers may be able to give you some better info. Good luck with the project.

The most popular is the 383 lots of parts for it from several manufacturers. The larger strokers have no large power benefit if any, and it gets really difficult to get of the shelves parts for.

My engine builder liked the Callies Compstar setup with Mahle pistons. He didn't like the supplied bearings (thought the clearance was a bit loose for his taste).

It's a nice matched package that should do well in any setup approaching 700hp.

EDIT: My engine builder did like that he had to do only minor clearancing to the block and that we could run a standard base circle cam without issue.
