stroker only fireing on 4 cylinders

Hey so I got the knocking thing figured out (crank tapping oil pan) and now when I don't have my o2 sensors hooked up it keeps flooding out and dropping 4 cylinders... I got ny o2 extensions today and hooked up my o2s and now only firing on only one cylinder... bought new plugs and gonna put them in tomarro but it had new ngk irridium plugs in it before the flooding... anyone ever had this problem?

BTW.. accell coil ..10.2 wires... ngk irridium plugs..93 pump gas

How do you know it's dropping out on four cylinders? FWIW, the engine will NOT run if half of the cylinders are not firing.

What other mods do you have? Start with the basics and make sure your diagnosis is thorough and not just a hunch.

Won't run on one cylinder either.

Pull the fuse out for the 4 injectors and it don't make a difference that's when its on 4 ... unplug all the wires except the number 2 hold the throttle down n it will run on the one cylinder till u let go of the gas....when I get up in the morning imma swap the plugs out.. as for mods its a eagle rotating assembly xfi 292 cam, stock ported heads gasket matched with intake , 58mm bbk, 36lb injectors, accell coil, 10.2 wires, ngk irridium, egr blockoff, ported stock maf, long tubes, srp dome piston, tb bypass, heater delete, ax delete, smog delete, cat delete, evap delete, 3400 stall, .1.6 rr's, hv oil pump, I have a 255 fuel pump but haven't stuck it in yet.. I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff but that's the bulk of mods....

Tossed 5 of 8 new plugs in ( the ones I could get to easily) and she fired.up and is running pretty good... still won't idle but I believe thTs because it needs a tune.. hopefully the snow we just got kept so I can take it.on a couple short cruises before the dyno next weekend!

If you are running without a tune, there's no way in hell it will run properly, ESPECIALLY with those 36# injectors. Stockers are 24# so you're dumping 33% MORE fuel into the motor without programming the PCM. You're also setting yourself up for some serious engine damage by dousing the oil with fuel and washing down the cylinder walls. My suggestion - don't run it anymore until you get a tune.

Re: stroker only fireing on 4 cylinders

I wasent going to but the place thats doing my dyno told me to try and take it on a couple short trips to make sure there wasent any oil/coolant leaks, or vacume leaks and that will save alot of time on the dyno.. so now im getting mixed signals from everyone lol.... this is my first electronic build.. i usually had older carb'd motors so all this tuneing stuff is new to me.. so i should not drive it then.. your very right on the dumping gas cawz i changed my oil after about 10min of runtime and it was doused in gas... so0oo0o i guess im going to wait on the dyno before i drive it?.?.?.?..

Ugh...typical shop which doesn't know any better. When you do such major changes to an engine and leave the stock tuning on it you're going to end up with nothing but problems. When you tune a carb setup you adjust jets, timing, etc. With a fuel injected motor it needs to be reprogrammed.

Is this shop competent enough to tune an LT1 motor? If I were you I would start with a mail-order tune before you do anything else. Try www.pcmforless.com
