I have over 10,000 hard mile on mine so far....not a problem yet. (well I blew up my opti ) But so far so good...I don't see any reason why a stroked motor should live a much shorter life.

Re: stroker guys?how relilble

Nothing inherently un-reliable about a stroker motor. Like any other motor the reliability comes from it being correctly assembled, probably most importantly is the machine work and bearing clearances, next in importance would probably be piston to cylinder wall clearance and ensuring that the bored/honed surface is appropriate for your ring selection. Beyond that would be cooling considerations, ensuring that your existing radiator is up to par or better yet adding an aftermarket radiator. Newly rebuilt engines tend to burn hotter and a 383 will normally run slightly hot because of decreased cylinder wall clearance. There is of course a lot more things to consider such as tuning and AF ratios, but these factors are considerations for any motor, even a stock rebuild.
