well like the title suggests while putting on my headers i stripped some header bolts, so how might i fix the situation so i can tighten them down to stop exhaust leak?

They will probably pull the head to do it,where you could figure a way to do it without going through that.(angle drill, short bit)

Re: stripped header bolts

You stipped the bolts or the Heads? Try removing the bolt with a 12point if you haven't done so yet...

Re: stripped header bolts

Oh.... your post was confusing said you stripped the Header bolts...

If you stripped the heads themselves out than I don't see what the big deal is. I ended up stripping 2 holes myself on an install. All you have to do is remove the header.... and buy yourself a 3/16 tap, and hand tool. You just simply place the tap in the hole and re make the threads. THe tool is small enough to fit on either side of the engine bay, so there should be no need to take the head off. It's not that serious...all it takes is patience to fix. The only time when you may need to pull a head off a car is if you actually broke a bolt off in the header hole... now that ... that's a real issue.

good luck.

Homedepot sales the tap tool.
