UPDATE: I drove for an hour today and temp bairly got above the first mark, like 165* and when I poped the hood and felt the throttle body it was cool, not warm at all. usually I could burn my hand on it, and the car would climp to 215, 220* when sitting for a few minutes, no more heat problems.
LT1s run so much better when they are as cold as possible so this is why I did it
took me about an hour to come up with it today I also did the bypass from the rad. to the other line with a filter, and fan mod.
for those that spent any money on the fan mod it took me aprox. 5 minutes to do it for free. you need one 2 foot wire a knife and some electric tape. run the wire from h-j wires to the hot next to the red box. that makes your fans turn on when the key is in the run position.
ok for the bypass check out the pics, the pump for the bypass also turns on when the key is on.

the stray black wire in the fifth pic is the hot for the fans.
the pump pulls the water from the tank through the throttle body and back into the tank,

Looks as if he routed a line from the windshield washer fluid resivoir to an inline pump to an inline filter to one of the water pump output (or input?) lines. I thought that one was the line which went into the heater core, no?
Anyway, I have absoultely no idea what it is supposed to do...

no no no. the hose that went from the radiator to the throttle body now has the filter and runs to the line you see.
the pump goes from the tank to the throttle body and back to the tank

sweet, I'm experimenting the same idea, but I'm installing a peltier in the tank. I should keep the water cold at all times.
what kind of pump did you use for the icy water going to the throttle body?

So, you're saying you're passing cold water through the TB rather than warm..
It looked to me like you were T-ing into the radiator line, thereby mixing your cold fluids with the hot fluids in the cooling system.. thus, probably not doing anything, and still heating the TB up more than a normal TB bypass..
I'll have to take another look at those pics..
If you're running ice cold water directly through the TB and directly back to the windsheild washer resivoir, you might do okay.. so long as your electric pump doesn't get too hot..

yes its cold water to the throttle body. there is a hose that use to run to the throttle body from the radiator, it now runs to the heater core hose. and the pump now goes to the throttle body.

its basically a throttle body bypass, but with a filter on that part.
the filter is on the hose from the radiator to the header core or whatever hose.
then the pump pumps from the tank to the inlet on the throttlebody and the outlet on the throttlebody runs back into the tank.
the filter is just for the radiator.
