I installed my new 383 today and put on the milidon pan. I primed the motor before the install and found a oil leak! Its coming from one of the oil pan rail bolts near the oil filter. The bolt is snug and its clearly coming from the bolt not of of the side of the pan. The motor only had 1.5 quarts of oil in it as well. Is it possible for the motor to leak thru a oil pan bolt?

 

I found the leak, when I clearanced the block it looks like I took alot off the oil pan rail and didnt leave much room between bolt and rail. I put some copper RTV on the pan gasket and no more leak.
