stock timing chain install

Hey I am installing a new stock timing chain on a 96LT1 anyone have some good directions, I am more used to the sbc stuff and was wondering some good pointers with all the waterpump gear stuff,etc.

Also how do you know how far to go when installing the new crank sprocket on the snout of the crank

its pracitcally the same as gen 1 small blocks. it just has another gear for the water pump. installation is the same. keep cranking the sprocket on until it stops moving or has a sharp metallic sound when hitting it. that means its up against the crank all the way
